Ok so ive got an xbox that i want to softmod with ndure, but for some reason during the hotswap phase im having some problems.
For some reason when i do the hotswap and start my computer it won't boot off the dvdrom drive to start linux but when i restart the computer and the drive locks again the dvd rom drive boots up the disc nps except the hard drive isn't detected obviously.
if i do the hotswap after its done booting the disc it just tells me theres a device error when i try to choose option one.
any ideas any1?

ya those exploits would have to be a last resort because unforunitly i don't have any of the old games to do it with, no splinter cell nor mechassault

How old or new is the PC and did you set the PC BIOS to boot from the Disk drive?

the board literally went on the market at the end of august and i had it beginning of september, and yes i did set boot priority.

Some newer boards have a hard time with HDM, if you have an older PC you should try it.

are you sure you saved the ndure file correctly as i had the same problem and made 6 pretty coasters before i made a cd that worked
i no longer have my correct ndure file other wise id upload it for you.
if i remember correctly if saved right it shoud show up as a unknown file in windows (and not have an internet explorer "e" icon)

well i modded a previous xbox with it so im pretty sure it is made correctly but ya i had a bunch of problems before i made one that worked as well
