If you have a virtual C drive then that is why you get the error, try unmounting the virtual C and try again.

You only get that error when you dont have a back up copy of the MS dash and your eeprom man, back up that stuff and you should be good.

mmm.. didn't know that.. But then again i modchip my ass off.. Ive done a few softmods but really can't wait for the new HQ SID installer djb is about to release.

It will install XBMC directly from the memory card hack.. How sweet.!

Maybe this is a error someone should report to DJB via the AIDeluxe forums etc.

If its getting an error every time you try to back up the eeprom then you might want to send an Email to the guy that builds AID, his name is DJBisgod.

He should know what to tell you since the backup is not working.

Are you sure the MS Backup is an unsoftmodded backup?

Go to the Format/Prepare option in AID and "Create MS Backup from AID".

This backup is guarenteed to work properly, where you might have just made a backup of the ms dash already hacked.

See how that goes for starters.

Also, if you're having problems using the AID ISO Updater, you could alternateively use UltraISO to make an extended ISO.

http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-240.html

It was written a while ago (back in the AID 3 days) but its still the same principle.

thanks for the quick response... i tried the Create MS backup from AID... it starts but then suddenly quits and says that its not able to unzip from E.... the unit is softmoded... it has unleash x on it... no ms dash.... if i try to run it again it just says error with no messages.... this is getting annoying... im sure im getting annoying to everyone else also...lol

And with reguards to the Ultru iso it kept adding files to the iso... its like 200 gig over the size of a dvd... file names like ©bKiŸ+Vyð«þ¡Õü@WDûp ô}&¨·žd’Ø are comming up and are huge files... i tried to use Power ISO and the files were not on there... but it seems to give me problems burning and some of the files are missing that were in the Power Iso... I feel so worthless.... lol

this really sucks man. i can't believe your having so much trouble.. Sad
What i would do is boot AID and setup your homenetwork on the same range as the default AID installer dashboard.

settings are:

XBOX:
ip: 192.168.0.2
sub: 255.255.255.0

PC:
ip: 192.168.0.1 or whatever in same range
sub: 255.255.255.0

Now just ftp into your xbox when the AID installer has booted.. With the AID installer menu up this means that the FTP service is active..

Go and have a hunt and tell us what files you have installed..
