Hello! i just have a small question hopefully someone can answer for me:
i would like to know if i could use the xbmc installer deluxe to upgrade my version of xbmc? i mean if i burn it to a dvd and boot it up, can i upgrade my xbmc without having to first reformat my HDD? or if i know where my xbmc is installed can i just tell the installer delux to over right it and do it that way?
(i have a very large HDD so i have E F and G drives, i believe xbmc is in either E or F but i can check in a file manager right?)

You running a chip or a softmod and what version of XBMC do you have?

yeah the box is chipped with executer 2 and its running an older version, hmm im not sure exactly which, i installed xbmc from the slayers 2.7 disc so it was a step or two up from the 3.6 disc that did not have the m360 skin.
does that help a bit?

I would just use the HQ installer from AIDeluxe.. It's always the easiest way.. You shouldn't need to format.. You should be able to install XBMC as a application (not a dashboard). AID will ask what drive you want to install it on.. You could install it and then configure everything via FTP.. Depends how good you are on a pc i guess.
