Since the chip is working fine i would let it be since the BIOS wont make a huge difference.

When you power up the xbox with the eject button it should bypass the chip.

OK,
i've got a 320gb sata and pata adapter, and fitted the Aid disk in, but cd wont boot, i get "your xbox requires service, Please call xbox customer support" error 07.
this is probably since my chipmod appleX - (256)X2 4974 needs be upgraded to support >137gb
where can I find this bios and how can i upgrade it in an eas way
Thanks

Error 007 means you have a loose IDE cable bro.

What do you mean what can you do from your AID cd? I'm not following.
If you mean how to turn it back on, you should be able to start up evox and go to config, and then turn it back on. _________________

found the quoted procedre to enable and format f,g, so i've enebled in unleash f: and g: and then went to XBpartitioner to format , but I get the following message in XBpartitioner :
Code:
'LBA48 info not found! Custum partition will not work with this BIOS. Update your BIOS to one which supports at leaset LBA48 version 2
where can I find latert bios for my chipmod appleX - (256)X2 4974, and how I can flashit?
Thanks
Quick and Dirty F & G Drive Format Tutorial
Quote:
1. Start XBpartitioner
2. Under 'Extended Partitions' if you have anything listed in green, highlight the first option, then click down on the Right Analog Stick, to disable it. Do the same for the other one. If you don't see anything, exit by pressing Back, then back again, then skip to step 4.
3. Press Start then Y to save, now what was green should now be gone and greyed out. Now press Back, then press back again to exit.
4. Restart XBpartitioner, then press A to cycle through available options for the partitions under 'Extended Partitions'. (Top option is F, bottom option is G.)
5. Once you have chosen the setup that you want, Press Start then Y to save. Then press Back, then Back again to exit.
If all went well, you should now have the F and G drives setup the way you wanted them to be.
Also, be sure to have 'Enable F Drive' and 'Enable G Drive' set to Yes if you are using Evox.
