I've been trying for quite a while to get XBMC on my xbox. I've read every tutorial I can find and still no success. (I'm using the Splinter Cell exploit). I've downloaded the Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.5.01 (as well as the 2.0, Ndure, etc) The problem is getting the stuff on my xbox. I tried using the USB hack to make it think it's an XBOX card, but that didn't work. I got an action replay and can copy the linux profile and installers just fine. The problem that I keep running into, no matter what version, file, you name it; is I can't copy them onto the xbox. I tried to run the game saves directly off the mem cards, but I can't get that to work either. Has anyone else had this problem?
I don't know what else to try with this. I'm real close to throwing the whole thing out.
Note: The xbox is still in working condition and can even still do Xbox live. I haven't loaded anything on it, so I know there's no way it's bricked.

When you see the saves and your only option is to delete try pushing to the right on your D pad one time and see if it gives you the option to copy.

Yeah, that worked. I sorta got what you said, but then I found your video to install the softmod and that helped a ton too. Double advice works. I did it last night and did my first softmod ever. Now I need to do some tweaking (i.e. download plugins, put in bigger hard drive, make XBMC my default)
A tutorial on installing a bigger hard drive would be awesome.
Got any advice on good, not crappy plugins? For stuff like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. What plugins do the subscribers to your site like?

Happy to help man and as for a vid on HDD upgrade i might just do one some time but for now i would use chimp since its fast and easy.
Dont know of any Hulu or netflix plugs but the youtube plug in is built in to XBMC by default.

http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt24812.html claims to have found a plugin/app combo that will make hulu and netlfix work, however i have not tried it yet... the post is a few months old and it looks like it costs $

40 bucks for the play on App and well worth it, works on xbox and xbox 360.
