I have downloaded the ltools AUF softmod and can load the save from the game to get the evox dash, but when I restart the xbox with no disk in the drive I still get the msdash.
Any suggestions please.

Have you copied the savegame from the mem card to the hard drive?

I have now and everything is fine, simple really eh?.
My mistake was in thinking that evox installed from the memory card.
