So I bought a gameshark memory card from amazon, turns out the one I bought is just a gameshark brand memory card; it doesn't connect to your pc.

So my question is: Can I hotswap my xbox HDD into my computer and transfer the save to it like that?

No but if you have an old MS controller you can splice the wire and add a USB tip to plug in to your PC that way.

1. the only controller I have is a wireless one, so no cord to splice
2. I don't have an extra usb thing to use
3. don't know how to solder

so basically im screwed, I have to spend $20 more and wait a few more weeks for it to ship

I think you can hotswap the files on, I know some people have done it that way. I don't personally know how to do it that way.

You did not ask if you could use xboxhdm you asked if you could just put the HDD in your PC and add the files. Rolling Eyes
