Hello and thanks to anyone that replies to this message.
I was on my xbox the other day and looked at my bios.
It is the 1.6 bios. Specifically Evox M8 FC 1.6 137+
No my curiosity here is that I have an xbox version 1.0.
Yes old i know but it works great. And there is my question.
Is it worth it to try to put the correct bios on my xbox if the one that I am using works for me? I am very curious to know.
Any input is appreciated.

Is the xbox chip or softmod?
have you opened the xbox to make sure it is a 1.0?
Have you heard the expression if aint broke don't fix it? LOL
If it runs fine i really don't see a need to change it but if you have a chip a better BIOS might give you a few more options or tools to work with.

the only way you can tell is by looking at the motherboard and model and manufacturing date. If you open it up a 1.0 xbox should have a daughter board for the controller ports and power/reset.
But chances are it could be a different case and 1.6 board. _________________

I am using the Xecutor 2 modchip.
I think I am going to just leave it alone.
I love my original xbox and also believe that IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT.

If you do decide to upgrade you will want the X2 5035 BIOS but it only adds a few tweeks it wont add much but is the most up to date for the X2.
The main thing it can do is let you change the boot screen and flubber, lets you boot with out a disc drive and install larger HDDs with no snags.
Over all i am with you bro, if it aint broke.
