ok, so i was working on changing the SMD LEDs on the guide button ring, the first one was replaced without a hassle, just took a while to keep it still. however, we couldn't get the second stock LED off of the board by soldering it off like we did the first one, so we took a pick and just plucked it off. however along with it came about 1/5 or 1/6 of an inch of copper wire. after that the controller wouldn't even turn on. should i even try to fix it or is it just a lost cause? if there is hope for it, it would help to know what do do. also, while we tried to put it on we took off a little of the metal soldered on there, that is in the pic but that is an easy fix, im worried about that wire. pic is attached.

thx,
h4xP4r4d0x.

Is this an xbox 360 controller by chance?

If so you should post this question on 360-hq. Just use your same username and password to long in over there.

Just do some cleaning up around the area and do a trace repair, I'm not sure from what you were tring to do here but it sounds like you didn't want those LED's anyway, find an image of this board or take a look at another board and do a Trace Repair!
