Had a quick question. I cloned an original softmod 1.6 HD to a Western Digital 120 Gig. When I booted the new hard drive after completion I ran into the error code 5 problem and now know how to fix it. My question is if I disable the locking drive prior to cloning the drives will I still need to lock my new HD while using M8 Evox? Hoping to save a few steps if possible. As always thx for the help out there.

Sorr for the slow reply, you will need the eepromm from the xbox so that you can make a new hdd key for the new box. No way to boot a softmod xbox without the hard drive being locked. Hope this helps, sorry can't skip a few steps this time _________________
