Hmm..
My newly aquired used xbox does not want to start up even with a brand new 220V PSU (yes my xbox V1.0) so I have taken it to a TV-Video guy who modded my Ps2..
Can u guys give me any prices for spare components just so I might get an estimate of how much it will cost depending on the part thats broken.
I know - this might cost as much as a brand new xbox
And to top things off my xBIT chip and other peripherals are already coming - not much good w/o the effin box itself eh? LOL

now i didnot get what exally u mean (sorry i am not just comfortable with languenge)
now if u want to change your xbox componant like hdd cost btw 100 to 180 us$ and if u want somebody put dash and stuff that cost probably an extra 80 $US and puting modechip around 160 to 200 $US (including the modchip and installing it) for me it coast about 300 @Cnd with 120 gb HDd Matrix modechip and i install the softwares all by myslf
if u want to add extra staff like new powerbox and stuff like that astmate about 50 to 130 $Us

No, just wondering how much it costs to buy repair parts for a broken xbox.
How much is a new motherboard? Harddisk is usual prices like you said
