Hi there I have a question I would like to know how to ftp my pc and xbox

Heres what I have

Windows XP Computer

Xbox modded with SID v4.0 and Unleash X as the dashboard

I have tried everything to ftp I got them to connect but every time i went to flashxp it would say connection refused and I tried Internet Explorer and typed my xbox IP address and it said connection timed out.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or If something isn't right

Any help appreciated

How is your xbox connected to your computer? Does it go through a router?

Are the IP addresses of both Xbox and PC set to static?
Also, if it shows connection but you don't actually ever get to connect, 9 times out of 10 its a firewall blocking it.

Try pinging the IP of the Xbox from the PC. If it pings ok, I'm pretty sure it'll be the connection being blocked by a firewall.

From the PC -

Click Start -> Run
In the box that appears, type cmd
That opens up a DOS box. Type: ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (where the xxx .xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the Xbox)

You'll get either a response, or request timed out, or destination host unreachable.

Tell me what happens.

Ok, if you're not getting a ping, you've probably got one of the following:

Your cable is either not a crossover, or is faulty.
Your PC and Xbox are not in the same IP range.
Outbound connections are being blocked from your PC.

Might be worth to just double check all thos things.
