my xbox was modded for me a couple of months ago and was working awesome w/ xbmc. One day i went to put a disc in the dvd drive and it read that the drive was empty. I tried my iso backups and even original games. Is there something wrong with the dvd drive itself or should i try to upgrade my current version of xbmc?

I cant recall any version of XBMC having a bug in it that would stop you from playing a disk, try one drop of rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and lightlie rub the lens.

It could be ur drive put in an audio cd and see if it plays then put in a DVD movie. If they play but games don't you've got a thomson drive and need to find a replacesmemnt one.
