I have an original modded xbox, i have had it for around 3 years and it was working fine. but my little sis always hits the bottom left corner where the dvd drive is =P l . n e ways now none of my games work and if they load they freeze at the game menu and it says there is a problem with the disc blah blah. i tried burning new copys but they still dont work. also when i keep rebooting the xbox after a couple reboots where it says wats inside the tray it say like instead of "Splinter Cell- DA" it says "ISO(and some numbers).
I NEED HELP PLZ!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like your drive laser is going out.
Try deleting all of the files inside of the E:/cache folder and all of the files inside of the X:/, Y:/ and Z:/ drives. If that does not fix it then it sounds like your dvd drive's laser is done for. _________________

i deleted everything but still the games dont work too good...
how can i get a new laser/dvd drive???? any ideas???
can i basically get a new hard drive and put the games i play the most on it then play them directly off the harddrive???

The easiest way would just be to buy a new dvd drive off ebay. Just throw it in and your set because the dvd drive in the old xbox has nothing that says another drive can't just be put into it. _________________

It must be an xbox drive or a moded PC drive but you will find it a bit hard to track down the right PC drive and mod kit, if you got the cash to burn just get a used xbox and gut it.
