I have searched and found some HDD patches for games, but many others still do not boot. The games are installed to my HDD through QWIX and when I boot them there is just a black screen.

If I media patch the default.xbe through QWIX, same thing.

I have tried the ADR patcher with no success.

Is there a general way of patching games to support booting from the HDD?

Hello,
Is your xbox softmodded ?
If it is try clearing the contents of E:\cache and folders `x` `y` & `z`

Try installing your games to the harddrive using `dvd2xbox` as this patches the games accordingly

It sounds like he is downloading the iso's and ftping them to the HDD...

Yes, my XBOX is softmodded. I just now deleted the contents of E:/CACHE and everything on X, Y and Z. The game still does not boot. I have also tried booting the game with DVD2XBOX 0.75 and it still does not work.

Darth, the game I am testing is LMA Manager 2006, all of my hard copies are at my parents' house about 400 miles away. I'm using backups I made years ago. There are a few other games I have that won't boot from the HDD, but I forgot which they were.

you could ftp the files back to your pc and make a .iso file and then re-rip it using DVD2XBOX which will patch it for you automatically.
