Hello, all. This is my first time in these forums, and dealing with a modded xbox, as well. I've a few questions, if anyone would mind. For Christmas, I was given an Xbox with a SmartXX v3 Chip, and XBMC as a dashboard.
However, upon upgrading XBMC, it now refuses to go beyond the EvoX loading screen. To be specific, the normal Xbox loading screen goes up with EvoX in the top left corner, and then it just hangs there, the HD making some odd noises.
I upgraded the XBMC while using it, so I'm afraid that is the problem. But, this is not the issue, any longer.
I can no longer FTP to my Xbox from the SmartXX BIOS screen, so, I can't fix my mistake, and I'm afraid I ruined my new Xbox. I read that the AID is a great resource, so I downloaded it.
However, my concern is this :
Because I can't go beyond the SmartXX BIOS screen, and the only choices I have to run DVD's, Xbox CD's is through the Original Xbox Dashboard after locking the Hard-drive.
Is there a way to reinstall the XBMC dashboard, (possibly reinstall it even?), using the AID CD through other means?
I'm desperate for help, and have been spending the last 24 hours looking for information regarding it, but, thus far, have been unsuccessful.
Thanks ahead of time,
Dexodro.

The HDD making the sounds and not being able to FTP to the XBOX makes me think that maybe your HDD is shot. Use AID to reinstall XBMC. _________________

I just installed Ed@Chip or whatever it's called and gained access via FTP. Now, I deleted the E:\Xbmc folder, created a E:\Apps\Xbmc and used the Team UIX (sp?) shortcut to make a xbe to place a evoxdash.xbe file in C:.
Rebooted, and still a no-go. The HDD is still working, as I can lock the Harddrive and run the original MS bios, but, I can't say I care much for it.
How do I run the AID DVD? Can it boot up through the original MS BIOS?
Is this common, though? Because, before I decided to update, I realized that there were a number of things different from the T3ch compiliation.
Would it be better to simply install another dashboard and run XBMC as an application?

Disregard.
After about 1 minute or so from waiting, the EvoX BIOS loaded the AID DVD and I installed Ava as the dash and XBMC as an app.
Thank you all who worked on AID. It is a most wonderful product.
