Dug another xbox out of the closet for modding today. I was originaly just going to window the top of the case but considering a slim box now. I'm not all that handy with the dremel so excuse the messy cuts... Lots of sanding ahead!
I still need to cut the upper left corner of the top but, I was dremeled out for the night. The cuts that are there allready were done with a razor out of sheer boredom.
And now for my question. I plan on using some old slim cd cases for the windows since I dont feel like buying plexi. Can I just affix this to the case with epoxy or silicone? Thanks in advance.

As long as your not playing catch with it i would guess that even super glue would work in this setup.
Nice start on the xbox man. I have done slims before thay are fun and not that had to do. Just time.

Just an update. Finished all the cutting to slim it down and for the top windows. What a pain in the @ss trying to make the top fit. Now I got a ton of sanding to do. I think I'm going to use this one in my car when its finished. Is it possible to make an xbox useable in car as well as home? Would be nice to build some kind of bracket so I can take it in and out of the car as desired. Just an idea. Anyway, heres the photos.
I plan on doing the sanding tonight and friday (supposed to have my tax returns by then) I'm going to paint and add the plastic windows.

Good call, heat gun or hair dryer and a bit of dental floss always did the trick for me.

I work some Goo Gone underneath and let it sit for an hour or so. Then it should just pop right out. But be careful not to break it in the process. _________________

For the jewel, you should put the lid in the freezer for an hour or two, then take it out and hit it on the backside with the handle of a screwdriver. no chems and it pops right off. You might need to be extra carefull since you've already cut it.
For the windows, how about using hotglue, once again no super glue like
chemicals that can blur the window if you touch it with super glue on your hands.
BTW, i'm not a noob, i've done a few slims with windows and
cleared jewels. here is the box i did.

may look for ideas later on.
