So you need your eeprom i see, The reader is one way to go and it will need solder but i think the software side is harder since i got time on the soldering and software can give you hell some times.
Check it out: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/357863
Looks like a lot but if you pull it off your a pro.
As for chimp, all that will do is copy your HDD one for one so your probs will still be there.
Xboxhdm needs the eeprom to work so your back to the reader.
Your safe bet and the way i go if it gets bad is a chip and solderless install, not the cheapest way to go but for the money you will never have this prob again.
Hope that helps and if you got any questions just post it up.

Ahhh. Well, ive been avoiding solder methods, but i guess this timei have no choice. Might as well get used to it. Seems pretty much straight forward.

Geez. I am speechless, sorry to waste your time guys.
I found out that AID installed the eeprom backuping suite to the E drive ONLY. So i formatted my E drive (yes, my saves and everything is gone, oh well) and i was able to use eeprom back. Instead of backingup everything to the E drive i used the F partition as a Slave since its pretty much useless being the fact that its the slowest partition in the whole XBOX.
Turns out that UnleashX's File viewer is unreliable when it comes to determining the Partition's Free Space Left.
From now on, im using AID's for how much Free Space it Has left since i just now saw the E: had 0kb space left..
Im Soooo stupid. Sorry for the long evening. Thanks.
Nevertheless,
Draz ;[
PS: I was just about to go to radioshack to get the EEPROM Reader parts TOO!

Ah man.. I got the.XBE problems gone now, but when it EEPROM Backup Menu was loading to the Main Menu of AID 4.30 i accidentally turned the power off and now im getting Service Error 21 :[
IF only i looked at the screen!
EDIT:
My solution is from this Youtube Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FEgSjw7Rxs
Its basically a hotswap method with your computer. With your computer IDE at Secondary MASTER and your Xbox's HDD at Primary master and the use of Xplorer360 and replace the M$ Dashboard files with your already backed up files on your computer.
My problem right now is that my computer can read my XBOX HDD. But in Xplorer360 i get an error saying
Code:
Could Not Find a FATX Drive to open!
So its not hardware issues because my computer an properly detect my xbox's harddrive. Anyone know why?
[Sorry if im jumping topics, but i dont like spamming topics in forums]
EDIT II:
I finally managed to rebuild my C DRIVE with EnDure! Both Videos worked perfectly as tested.
