The drive seems ok man. Most Western Digital drives work without a problem but like you say, if its not on the list I guess the only way you're ever going to know for sure is to actually try it and see.

You would need to format it yeah to wipe the FATX partition off it, but yes, you could use it quite happily in your pc.

No probs man. We look forward to hearing how it goes.
Yeah, I thought it would work ok and if not he could format it, but I didn't want to get his hopes up. That's why I sent him your way. I remember you helping me set up my HDD. I hope it works well for him. _________________

The drive looks good my friend. As for the tutorial on how to upgrade your drive, you can use a program called Chimp. The tutorial for that is under my sig.

ok i dident get it to work. when i used chimp to copy the stock drive to the new 500gig it made the f drive 123gigs n g drive 345gigs, so i try to put folders in to g drive but it makes what looks like hundreds of sub folders in each other n when i try to delete the sub folders it just deletes everything. i'm thinking this ant suppose to happen? i'm real close to just waiting for my next paycheck n just putting the drive in a case plugging it into my computer n Turing on file sharing but i'm willing to try xbox hdm n see it it will solve the problem. btw i have a xbox ver 1.6 . any thoughts?
