I have a Xbox v1.0 with an aladdin live chip loaded with the latest evoX M8 bios and latest dash courtesy Slayers 2.6 auto installer. I was wondering if there was a script or app that could be run (or setting) which would allow the x-box to automatically detect the region of a game and adjust the video mode accordingly. My flat mate has an xbox with an xecuter 2 chip and the same setup which somehow manages to run ntsc or pal games without the need for enigmah. Is this simply a feature of the xecuter2 chip or is there something I can do to modify my box to work the same. Any help would be very much appreciated.

All xbox games (bar 1 or 2) are able to output in NTSC or PAL.So you just set the video output to what your TV takes normally (mine is PAL as I am in PAL region) So no matter what game you play be it back up or otherwise should work fine. _________________

Hi ecwperth, thanks for your reply. What you said is true however the ntsc games were forcing ntsc on my xbox. I made a couple of adjustments and now it's working these were, video mode PAL, region Auto, disabled the PAL TV supports 60 Hz in the M$ Video settings, enabled auto switching in the Avalaunch xml file. Hope this information helps others.
