Yeah, that's not including shipping. My point being, I'd rather spend $20 on a mod that is worth it. A new fan, cold cathode. underglow, etc. Like I said, I would like the 166, but I'm sure I will come across one sooner or later for a decent price. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will have an extra for sale.

Not to dig up an old thread but I did the ram upgrade. I can't seem to get XBMC to recognize the extra memory. I checked my install and it looks good. I figured it would frag if something was messsed up.

I was wondering if I needed to update my bios? Right now I have evoxm8plus running. The only requirement is that I have a bios that will support f and g partitions cause I have a 1Tb hard drive.

Also got some advice for removing the ram. I highly recommend getting a heat gun. All you do is get some 30 awg wire to slide under one of sides of the chip so you have about 3 inches coming up on each side. Grab those to pieces and heat up the chip. When the solder melts just pull and lift the chip away. Works great and no bent or broken pins.

Have you tried to run a Playstation or N64 Emulator yet? That is where you would see how your system is using the upgrade the most. I always wanted to do that to run the N64 Emu smoothly, but I never trusted me soldering skill.
