I like to stay under 500GB to keep it simple but you can go up to 2TBs with the new xboxpartitioner 1.1

If you keep the partition sizes with in about 250 GB each (C & E) you can just use the AID one click install for larger HDDs but once you go so big you need to format the drive to use larger clusters with xbox partitioner 1.1.
Not that its hard but i never had need for more then the 300 GB HDD i got in mine.
Get the size you want, just check the HDD list to make sure its compatible and im sure you will be fine.

That is not AID, thats SID.
SID = Softmod installer deluxe
AID = Auto installer deluxe
You use SID to softmod your xbox so that you have a hacked dash. Then you use AID to put all the goodies on your xbox. _________________

I still stick with burning the ISO of anything using Qwix101. It never takes more than a few minutes to make ISO, burn to disc using DVDDecrypter and then rip from disc, to XBOX E drive. This may be totally irrelevant, but it is always an option if the FTP thing doesn't go over well. I always had issues with connecting FlashFXp to my XBOXes. _________________
