Ok, ive finally got hold of my xbox from my parents house!!!

Ive got the crossover cable connected at the back of the xbox and into the computer but every time i type in the IP address of the xbox into FlashFXP, it doesnt connect..

The computer is recognizing that the connection is there because whenever i turn the xbox off, it comes up with a message at the bottom saying a cable has been disconnected..

Ive just been reading a few tutorials on here and none seem to be working so i thought i would test everyones knowledge lol

Cheers folks

Right, just tried SmartFTP after using FlashFXP and FileZilla and here's what its said:

[12:53:41] SmartFTP v3.0.1022.24
[12:53:44] Resolving host name "192.168.0.1"
[12:53:44] Connecting to 192.168.0.1 Port: 21
[12:54:35] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
[12:54:36] Client closed the connection.

Any idea how to resolve it? Confused

Did you go into the network settings on the xbox and change the IP Address, Gateway, and Subnet Mask to match your computer? (When changing IP Address make the last digit one more or one less than your computer). You may have to do this multiple times depending on what you install.
