I dont know where to put this so im gonna put it here... I have an xbox with xecuter 3ce and 500g HD. I installed all the junk that i wanted to and everything was fine. When i put the 500g hd in it asked me how i wanted to partition it and i did c,e,f,g it ended up only putting 4g in c and e and the rest in f. Now i wanted to put some avi's on the disk ( i already had put some on there) when i go to put one on there it goes on and then when i go to view it it stutters alot and then freezes. but i can view all the others that i had on there already perfectly fine. all the games play fine but it just seems to not want any more avi on there. it has about 200g left on it?

An F:\ partition that big will corrupt data, so you need to repartition your HDD. I'm assuming you have the X3 3294 bios on your chip. What you need to do is go into the X3 config and change the bios from all to F:\ to 137g to F:\, rest to G:\. Then you need to repartition your xbox and you'll now have a F:\ and a G:\. Make sure you get all the files off your xbox before you repartition it so that you can put them back on after you partition it.

I think you may have to make sure you partition it in 32k clusters. A guy named wes will be able to help you more with this (The biggest HDD I've ever put in a xbox is 320 gigs, which is fine with normal settings).

Just use XboxPartitioner 1.1 to build the HDD and it will set the clusters to the right size for you.

Should work fine with F and G enabled then just use AID to do a one click chip install for a larger HDD and your good to go. Wink

oook ran into a problem. i went and opened up xbpartioner and i cant figure out how to use it. The biggest problem is that the screen is resized when i open it and i cant see the menus well. If someone (wes Wink ) can just tell me what to press when i get into the menu so i can reformat correctly that would be awesome.

ook ran into a new problem. I figured out how to work the partitioner. i formatted so f was 137 and g was the rest about 337 everything was fine. popped the aid disk in and reinstalled xbmc and began to ftp my files back over. now i went and turned off the xbox and came back... no more g partition? i ran the partitioner again same way installed xbmc and turned it off again just to make sure it was cool.... no more g? i tried to format with the x3 bios no go there isnt a g drive.

Once you do the partitioner then install the XBMC dash and the Avalaunch but make avalaunch an APP.

Now just go in the Avalaunch settings and enable the G drive and it should show up.

Make sure you enable the G drive in the X3CL menu.

i think that i got it working all good. i ended up leaving it alone for awhile and then magically the chip let me format the drive so i did that. I just dont know if the g is going to be stable because it has 337 gigs on it?? is the chip enough to make it stay stable or should i format it only in partitioner? id hate to transfer all the files over and have them start to corrupt again

Your best bet is to set up the HDD with xbox partitioner since ver 1.1 is the only App i can say for sure will auto add the larger clusters.

i dont know yet if i got it to work or not because im still ftping all the files back over. I should know later tonight. Im having trouble using the xbpartioner because i cant see the entire screen. is there a way i can shrink it down on my tv with the xbox? I can only see what im partitioning not how im partitioning it if that makes sense.... basically i can only see the center of the screen.

side note.. is there a faster way to ftp over? my networking card doesnt work anymore so im doing it wirelessly which i know is slower. maybe a usb crossover or something?
