Hello,
I just dusted off my old modded xbox there and have installed the latest auto installer for it.
I have uploaded a few games to the HD and are all working fine.
I have just downloaded the XBOX Killer Instinct Arcade Emulator+Games ISO and have uploaded that also to my HD, it installed no problem and shows up in the menu, but when i press start to play it, it just hangs on a black screen?
I have read people saying it is running great......i really want to get this game working.....used to love playing it years ago.
Can anyone offer any help.

Go in to your file manager and go to E/Cache folder and delete any thing that might be in it reboot and try to launch the game again.
Let me know if that works and if not we can go from there.

I appreciate the help.
There were 4 files in the cache which i deleted, i rebooted and started the game but it is not working yet.
There is no activity with the HD when i click on the game, it stays silent and hangs on a black screen.

Are you sure it is the right version for your Emu and are you sure all the files are there?

Hi,
The file i downloaded was called.... XBOX [Killer Instinct] KIxxx_1.0
I unrar it i end up with 5 folders called....
ki1
ki2
Media
Moves
previews
And a default xbe file
The folders all have the correct files in it.
I then used Caxtion to make an image , it was auto renamed Arcade Killer Instinct
I burned onto a disc and it was recognised as a game in the xbox, so i installed it onto my HD and it shows up with image in my games section.
But does not play when i start it.
The place where i downloaded it, people posted that it works near perfect.
This nfo was attached to it......
Logic Sunrise (previously known as Team XXX) released a new version of Killer Instinct XXX (KIxxx - an U64 arcade emulator for KI1 and 2)
What's new/fixed (since v0.9b):
* Added check for roms on rom loading
* Added two previews function
* Optimized KI2 (and by the same time KI), it now runs between 50 and 60fps without any fix, averall large increase
* removed background selection in KI2
* Brand new GUI and menu, x360 style
* Skin by BritneysPAIRS
* Re-added software filters (you can choose none, recommanded for KI2)
* Added HDTV support
* Added menu stretch option, when adjusting screen, you re adjusting the menu too
* offsets and scale are now visible in adjust screen menu
* Added KI1 and 2 moves thx to Odb718
* rearranged the sources a little
* PAL 50 now runs at 60fps
* restored ini to t: so that it can be boot from cd/dvd rom
* fixed volume, should be louder now
* fixed hardware filters that were not working
* Software filters can be saved for each game independently
* Speeded up BGR to RGB conversion
* rewrote simple2x, should be a little faster
* Changed Gamepad Configuration menu, can be used ingame now
* Changed default buttons (like KI on SNES now)
* Added kiosk mode (remember u64x.ini is in e:tdata64646464 now)
* added launch command (arg1 = "ki1" for KI1 and "ki2" for KI2 - thx to xport for the sources and thx to nes6502 for the explanation)
* added cheats support
* Changed title and savegame image (thx to BritneysPAIRS again) - maybe need you to delete your save file

take a look inside your ki emu folder and go to ki1 and ki2 files open them up and post the files you have for each game image as i think you could have the chd rom files heres and not the actual image files kixxx needs.

in ki2 folder rename U98-l15d to ki2_l1.u10.
thats the only file i could see that was wrong.
also you say you have 5 files in the kixxx folder,you are also missing the default.xbe_orig.
if i were you just download kixxx from somewhere and make sure it has the default.xbe_orig as well then rename that file in ki2.
you should be good to go after that.

seems to be missing the .chd files. most KI 1&2 downloads don't come with them for some reason. I have them if thats the case but I would be interested to know where you got the KIxxx emu. Anyway let me know if thats what you need.

kixxx does use the chd files but they have to be converted to an image file to play them.thats what skirpy has.

I have downloaded other ki 1+2 folders with more files in them, i have tried them in mame on my pc and they play.
Can someone guide me from the start on how to make these games work in my xbox please?

you have to convert the chd files into an image file that kixxx can use.
there is a very good tutorial out there,just use google type in kixxx chd tutorial and then go to the second link and that should pretty much cover you.

Hi,
I used copy DVD to HD and went into file manager, made a folder in emulators then added the files.......works now, although not as good as i had hoped.

if the games are running slow turn off the hardware and software filters.
