Can someone tell me how I get my applications and emulators to show up in the menus? Is there some kind of ini file or something? Every time I want to run something I have to browse to it in the file manager and do it from there and its starting to suck.

Ware are your Apps and Emus located on the HDD?

I'm starting to figure it out. I put an executable in a folder I made called apps in the root and now it magically showed up in the applications menu. That seems like a primitive way of getting things into the menu but I guess they have to be in specific folders in order to get them to show in the menus?

Thats why i asked ware they are, Apps got to be in an App folder just like games got to be in a game folder.

its really a pain in the neck trying to get it all set up. Whats the most user-friendly dash I can install? I'm trying to get this thing set up to where my girlfriend can use the emulators and stuff without having to mess around too much and possibly screw up my files. should i use xbmc?

XBMC is in my opinion the best but to keep it simple i would go with AVALAUNCH, its clean easy to read and its what i start all beginners on and most guys i modded for still use use it to this day.
