OK, now your all gonna laugh at me... I got the Unleash X softmod installed perfectly... was reading though some of the guides on installing XBMC, and tried to unpack it to C (as that's where my Unleash X is installed, don't use xbox live, so don't need the xbox dash)
Long story short, it took me a day and a half to get my original dash back (good thing I backed it up) after hotswapping. I reinstalled the softmod, and will keep the exploit saves on FOREVER, and never delete them agian, just in case, lol
Now, since I have my main dash installed on C, can someone please give me a walkthru on installing XBMC... preferably written for a retarded 2 year old. I really want to stream all the movies I have on my network drive (500gig MyBook World Edition) on my HD tv... I only have the standard 10gig xbox HD installed, and don't really wanna install a bigger drive after my hotswapping problems.

Welcome to the XBOX-HQ, we hope you enjoy this and all the other HQ sites we have to offer.
Your best bet is to download AID 4.20 and let it install XBMC for you, it can install it as a main dash or as an App.
Good luck man and for future reference we try our best not to laugh at any one since we all have made a dumb mistake once or twice when it comes to the xbox.

Thanks... been up all night... got the AID 4.20, and installed XBMC... then took another 2 hours to set up all the details... wow... that thing rocks!
If anyone has any problems with HotSwapping, or problems with missing dashboards, I think I've become an expert, lol, so just ask away!

Oh, you have no idea... I never thought ONE file could be so important...
I have just burned a copy of the Linux recovery disc with C, E and my eeprom.bin... I'm never gonna get screwed like that agian!
Just a note to all those who are new to softmodding... NEVER DELETE THE EXPLOIT SAVES... EVER!! You never know when you'll need them!
