Is there a Program that can be used to Copy all my games and music from one Drive to Another so I can do it faster the FTP?

I am trying to copy 300 Gigs from 1 Drive to another so that both XBoxes are the same.

I dont care if its a Boot Disk with a Linux Distro on it or what ever, just as long as I can do something to save 2 Days worth of transfering files everytime I do this...

(I Know the Drive would have to be Unlocked)

Thanks

Sorry, force of habit.

My sister gets mad at me for the same thing. Embarassed
Try to over look me, i see the question and most of the time don't give the name a good look so i will do my best to cut that crap out and if you need any help with chimp just let me know. Very Happy

By the way, if you have a 1.6 check the bottom of the guide for telnet info since 1.6 needs just a little more work. Wink

Hmmmm, ok I have 1 XBox that the screen turns GREEN when I run Chimp

Should I try using Ghost on my PC?

-EDIT-
Ok, I tried Telneting into Both Boexxes & Could not.
I went to the netork settings & set my XBox to the following,
IP: 192.168.0.199
SNM: 255.255.255.0
GW: 192.168.0.1

HTTP Proxy Enabled [x]
HTTP Proxy Host [ ]
HTTP Prozy Port [23]

I Then Tried connection to telnet on 192.168.0.3 cause it said to on the tut
and then I tried 192.168.0.199
Both failed on both boxxes

Here is how you check the Ver.: http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/determine_version_of_xbox.htm

I will get Final cloud to have a look at your settings for you, he is the chimp Jedi. Wink Laughing

Don't be hard on yourself, if it was all that simple this site would be obsolete. Laughing

That sounds like a V1.6 xbox to me. If it wasn't a 1.6 the screen would not turn different colors. So your going to have to telenet your xbox. With that I can't help you though because I've never done it myself.

Ok my friend, first thing to try is pinging the box. You should do this when your Xbox is sat at the dashboard, and then again when you begin Chimp.

The reason I say to do this, is quite often you'll find the IP change. This catches a lot of people out, wondering why they can't connect. For example, if your Xbox (in the dashboard) has an IP of say: 192.168.0.1 and pings fine, you may find that when you start Chimp, this IP no longer seems to give a response. It's worth checking to make sure you can succesfully ping the box before starting with telnet.

Let me know the results of the ping and we'll go from there.

Thats Not Correct, I have 3,
XBox Version 1.6
Modded: Softmod & 320Gb HDD & 500Gb HDD

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Ok, So first off, I checked the power suply ATX on all 3 of my XBoxes & they are all v1.6..

Then I saw the link for checking the date of the boxes and, go figure they are all 2004 and 2005 boxes.
I im thinking i should probly grab a 2003 next time around, just so I have one...

Ok, Ping test, here goes...
Ok, so I had the XBox set to 192.168.1.199 on my network & it pings fine
I loaded up Chimp & no reply, so I ran an IP Scan & Found My Router, My PC, & My Laptop, But No XBox

Sooo, theres the Problem, Chimp doesnt Load Right...
I have used The Chimp Files I got from AID 3 & also AID 4.2
I have copied the Chimp folder the E/Apps/Chimp and ran it from there.

Soooo, what next?

By the Way, Thanks...
You guys are Great!

Smile Becca

I'm sure Cloud will get you right and as for your info since you have not filled out your info in your account settings it is mirroring the info of the poster before you (aka final clouds info.)

Ok Becca,

The install location for your CHimp is fine, its the same as mine and a common install location. Do you know what version of Chimp you're using? Also, have you tried using a direct connection to the XBox, leaving out routers and the like?

Is your Xbox IP static, or is it assigned via your router?

No, not yet, But I have a cross over cable & will give it a try.
its Static.
192.168.1.199 (IP)
255.255.255.0 (SNM)
192.168.1.1 (GW)
192.168.1.1 (DNS)

The one I have on there is Chimp 2.4
It came with AID 4.2 so I figured it would be the latest stable version.
I will try using the cross over cable and see what happens

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
By The way, is there any type or to just load up some kinda emulator or VMWare or something & just transfer stuff directly from 1 drive to another using my PC?
That would be so much faster...

Smile
