The easy way would be to solder in LEDs that are the color you want.

yeah thats what i was trying to avoid doing but there's not a way to change it from the Evox menu? if there is then i just completely overlooked it! i din't wanna have to open the case unless i was gonna send it to u to chip it haha but if thats what it takes then i guess i could give it a shot. i think im gonna get another box and send it to you so i can have SID and a chip and hopefully be able to to help with both on the site
thanks for your help man

I don't think a chip box can change the light ring full time.
Unless there is a way to edit the main MS bios to do it.
If i find anything I'll let you know man.

In the BIOs Screen (WHILE HOLDING THE WHITE BUTTON ON THE CONTROLLER WHILE TURNING ON THE CONSOLE) you can set the LED to any color you want like I choose Red so when I turn on the Console I see a Red LED and in my Dash XBMC I choose Yellow so when the Dash loads it is now Yellow, or like when I run DVD2Xbox I changed that color to, and even Avalaunch I changed that color as well.
Be reminded that you can set the Primary BIOs and all the other Dash Apps. to do what you want. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!

That work while you play a game, and your talking about for the X-3 right?
Im not sure if that can be done for a softmod like sick has.

IF you got a working xbox (no 1.6 since thay are a pain) and a chip yeah i can do that.
If you desolder the leds in the power/eject board and turn them 180 degrees then solder them back in, it`ll give you a red light as it boots up and a green light for an error ....... or you could cut the traces to the leds and bridge the top trace to the bottom trace and vice versa to get the same result ... or cut the yellow wires to the power/eject board and reverse them - See pic for original led pinout :-

Well i don't know a way to do it from boot except for what user1 said but if you use an ndure softmmod... yeah i know no one likes it but me... right after boot it will set it to the color you pick and stay that way unless you change the option in the xbmc etc menu. You have to use King Roaches ndure setup program though to select the LED color you want. You could also use PBL and E.V. Tool to get the same results as with the ndure softmod.

I have changed mine from the system setting in UnleashX, but I'm not sure about Evox. I have a softmod and the colors that I change them to, stay like that until I change it back. Changing the LEDs is probably more complicated on that piece than most others in the xbox because you must desolder the originals which are tightly made in there. Be careful because you can burn up the piece and none of the LEDs will work. _________________

This Diagram is good to go with:
1. Print or Write down the Diagram with Numbers and Wires.
2. Unplug the connector.
3. Find the Green and Red Wires. (you may need to label or mark the Wires somehow so you don't have to mess with them to much)
4. Use a tool to PRESS down on what is holding the Wire to the Connector and safely remove them form the Connector.
5. Change the Green for the Red and the Red for the Green and now you should have a Red Light instead of a Green Light.
Number 7 with number 8 and number 5 with number 6. Don't change anymore and you should be ok, you could not connect the Red to the System color Green and have a Yellow because there is no power to that Wire it is only a Error Light, but you could change the the two to make the Green Light power the Red.
But wait if I look at the Diagram if you take the Green Light Wire and Bridge the Green Light Wire to both the Green and the Red Light Wire with it disconnected from the System Console Error Message (meaning cut the wire so it only runs into the connector and not to the system motherboard) or configure a Resistor so as not to Produce a Power Surge back to the System Console and still be able to send just an Error Message Red Light but you would have to Solder a resistor in the Bridge so you don't send a Power Surge back to the Green Light/System Console to be able to produce a Error Light and still have function of all the lights?
OR WHY NOT JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU GET A CHIP SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO MESS WITH ALL THIS? _________________ Support A Hard Modder!
