ok here is the deal. i have been trying to up grade to a 40g western digital hd using chimp via telnet on a versin 1.6 xbox. i am running unleashed and got telnet to work but when i plug my new hd in i get the call microsoft error with the number 05 at the top left. Whats the deal?? I'm i screwd?? i chose to lock from the motherboard like the tutorial said but should I try locking from the eprom? oh one more thing, should i set the master to master only or master with slave present, would it make a difference?? _________________ RastaCalavera

You'd want it on Cable Select, not Master or Slave.
Also check out Hard Drives database to see if anyone has reported if that certain HDD cant be locked:

Hmm in the tutorial it said don't do it on cable select but I'll give it a try. I looked in the data base already and it should work. I'll give it a shot and get back to thanks!!! _________________ RastaCalavera
