I am working on in Xbox for someone and it was hard modded in Korea. I looked through it and found the hard drive was bad and would just click and the Xbox would display ERROR 07. I installed a new hard drive, soft modded it, and disabled the hard mod. After ensuring that everything was booting up and working fine, I put the case back together and tested it and it came on for a second, shut off, came on again, shut off again, then it gave me green/red flashing light and nothing on the screen.

When I took it apart I heard clicking coming from one of the relays on the power supply, I started testing it and couldn't find the problem....so I ordered another one. I still have the same problem. Can someone please let me know what this could be. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Error code 07 was the original problem and that was a dead hard drive.

I replaced the "thought to be bad" psu with a brand new one and got the same result.

It has to be something on the motherboard, but what? It all started right after I did a read of the security chip for the eeprom code.

I am also not getting anything on the screen right now to see if there is even and error code. The only thing I get is a little twitch on the TV screen when the Xbox is rebooting.

It doesn't matter if I have the hard drive connected or not, cable change doesn't help, and the hard drive jumper is set correctly. Any other ideas guys?
