OK so I deleted a ton of stuff off my hd to try to rip DOA (nothing important, just language stuff and whatnot) Before I did this though, once in a while when I go to turn on the box the hd would click repeadly and then all of a sudden "turn over" and everything would be fine. Sometimes it would go to the call microsoft page and say that my xbox needs to be serviced. Now it won't "turn over" at all!!!! Anyway I can fix this?? There is no error code at the call micro soft screen it is just in a bunch of different languages and stuff like that. _________________ RastaCalavera

Yes. Its likely your HDD is dead mate.
Clicking usually inidcates the read/write arms are hitting the edge off the HDD and could be causing damage to the disk heads also.
Its likely you can remedy the problem with a new HDD. _________________ XBOX V1.6

I hope you got the EEPROM .BIN file off it and saved it to your PC.

what is the eprom reader that I can make? Also, no worries if this seems like a lost cause because I was walking down the alley the other day and some guy was throwing out his xbox because his dvd tray completely snapped off. I took it and put my tray in it and softmodded really easily. So if i have to scrap the one I was working on I guess I can. Maybe I can try some case mods on it or something. Oh and the first thing I did after the soft mod was make copies of all the backups on my Pc Got to mess up once to get it right i guess lol _________________ RastaCalavera

If its a dead board then no worries right and an eeprom reader is just a good thing to have.
