trying to softmod an xbox its a 1.6 at the moment were waiting on getting funds for a mem card or a modchip, asides from that is there any way to extract the eeprom from the locked drive? i read up on the eeprom reader cos if the chips hit the fan then im gonna have to build that so i can copy over the game saves. does box plorer or somethomg used? or are these generally otherwise

I cant think of any way to get the eeprom code from the HDD of an unmodded console, you can use the eeprom reader or wait till its soft-modded and use SID5 and it will back up the eeprom .bin file to your root E drive.
If you go with a chip then you don't need the eeprom code. Wink
