i was using eXBMC for years...it had disable whitewash option in guide options...but ive had to update to xmas release of xbmc....and it doesnt have this option...i really really hate the whitewash....any ideas on how to get rid of it?
ive tried putting the disable whitewash code in from old exbmc but it doesnt work.... _________________

I have never used or heard of exbmc, but it could have to do with the compatibility with new xbmc 2.0 _________________

thats what i was thinkin too...any ideas on how to incorporate a disable whitewash feature into new one though?
im thinkin someone somewhere must still add it in one of their versions.... _________________

I'm not familiar with the whitewash option...What does it do? obviously helps remove a washed out screen, but in movies? or just when your using the dash? It sounds basically like a filter or something. Please elaborate. _________________

its in the dash...theres a big white semi transparent square that covers back ground pic that everything is located on....but i like it better when you can see pic in full brightness....this isnt mine but heres a screen:

Ok, i'll have a look. All you have to do is replace a png file with a transparent png file it seems like. _________________

well when you make a theme you make a background green alpha and a background green....and so on for the 4 blades and guide....but i tried making an xpr using just the alpha's and then vice versa....but it didnt change anything... _________________

ok i got the main 4 windows whitewash gone by deleting some xml....same with logo...but when you switch between screens(blades) i still see the whitewash animation....and on any screen that isnt the main 4 screens its there too.....any ideas? _________________
