So now I'm locked up in my hotel because of some civil war... Is there any way I can steal these parts from a 110v power supply? I'm sitting here looking at one that I dont want to repair. I'm sure some of the parts I need are on the original power supply. I'm searching for a schematic of the xbx psu right now, for a 1.0/1.1

I would love to go down to my favorite Arab electronics store but I might not make it back. How about Is there any way I can jump the standby to keep the box on?

you only need a short pulse to turn it on, but I'm not sure which or how it's done like a jumper from elsewhere. I'm not sure how to help out. do you use a 110 source there, and not 220v? I'm trying to figure out how to help out, but it's very limited without extra components. what is blown on your original supply?

my original psu is 110v Its blown, I have replacements in LA, but the voltage is 220v in Lebanon. Ive taken tis psu apart a transformer blew it when I tried to plug it in. I had one rated at 15oo watt, it powered up but melted one capacitor before the 12v regulator.

I found a EGP10B on the 110v PSU, I was told to use x2 1n4001 diodes on the 5vsb to reduce the voltage without a regulator... The one I found EGP10B is rated for 100v 1amp. Twice what the 1n4001 is rated at, since I needed two just this one might be enough? I dont know much about current, so If Im on the road to blowing a motherboard let me know.

I also found a 1n4007 on the xbox PSu, rated at 1000v .

Im interested in jumping the PSU, This is only temp anyway, in addition to watching dailies on this Movie, I wouldn't mind a Genesis session.

The method i mentioned using the 1n4001 diode is just a hack, a temporary soloution. If you can scavange two 1n4007 diodes these will work just as well, you need 2 in series because each one will drop the volts by (approx) 0.7v - Attatch these to the 5vsb rail on the ATX psu, connecting that to the 3.3v connector on the xbox side

Ok I used the EBG10B and it powered the device right away. There is a 4007 on the XBOX psu that we are going to use. Would it work to use the EBG10B and 4007 and get the job done. If you didn't know Beirut is about to be at war and there was a huge rally today and most stores are closed so I didn't get a chance to go out and buy anything or this may have been easier on myself. I hope shit doesn't go sour before we finish this movie and get the hell out of here. Thanks for your insight. We are going to try to get to an electronics store tomorrow at some point. They actually have a radio shack here to my surprise.

In all honesty i couldnt tell you if the EBG10b would work the same, Having used the 1N4001 diode in past projects i know they have a forward voltage drop of 0.7v, hence my reason for mentioning them.
