Question for everyone I need a little help
I have a X-Chip (up-dated bios)
I have up-dated all necessary bios and have install the new
Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 all is good,
I see the menu but I don’t know what to do???
I read over the Newbee sheet and now know some terms but with the installer,
I am lost; I formatted the drive, install up-dated bios (not sure if that worked)
And install the apps on the G drive I think..
But when I put in my Sherk 2 (store bought not a copy) the game started,
I thought I would see an option screen, I was told I would have a few options like
Install to drive, Play game watch movie and so on,
Can I please get some input on how to install the Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 correctly

when you power on the xbox with out a disk do you get the evox dash or m$dash?
because if you get the evox dash, you probably only need to go to the settings and turn off the auto launch game option.
if you get the m$dash then you more than likely installed it wrong. make sure you're installing to C: and E: for stock hdd, C: E: and F: for larger hdd _________________ XBOX360

Hey gonna bump this topic.
I remember Targetboy, if my memory serves me correcty, had an issue that none of us could figure out how he came about. We basically just thought it was user error, which still could be the case.
The issue was on the 1.3 installer that after he used it and went to "Launch Applications from HD" he could see PxHDD Loader, DVD2Xbox and one other app, but couldn't select it. Forahobby will remember this as he and I both tried to help him, along with DJB if I am correct.
Well, guess what. Same thing just happened to me. So, I want to give the details so we can get to the bottom and see what I did wrong, or if something needs done.
Here is the info on the machine.
Xbox Version 1.6
Bios M8
HD 200GB
Autoinstaller partitioned correctly, no issues.
Autoinstaller locked fine, no issues.
Autoinstaller installed all apps and dash's no issues.
MS Dash worked no issues.
Evox Menu had XBMC, but could not select, would skip right over it.
Evox Menu/Launch Apps from HD menu had three apps. None could be selected.
Not sure if I am missing anything, has anyone else ran into this problem?
When I installed I installed EvoX on C and all apps on F. I am betting it has to do with installing apps on F?? Who knows. I since rebuild HD with 1.2 and all is peachy!!
Maybe someone can point out my blunder, but I just thought it was funny I got the exact same thing as Targetboy did.

There's a section in 1.3 installer that says "Prepare Drive". This will set up blank folders on your HDD to copy files into. For some reason, the script wouldn't work unless I do this.
Normally 1.2 and older versions did this automatically, but I don't think it prepared G drive.
So, this is what you need to do:
* Select "Format / Prepare Hard Drive" from the installer menu
* There's 3 types of prepares: retail (which stores apps and games folders on e), Large E+F (which stores them on E and F), and Large E+F+G (which stores them on E, F, and G).
Hope that clears this up.
Just out of quick curiosity though, did anyone bother to read the PDF I included with 1.3??

hi guys ....
i just did an auto install last night using 1.3 from here ... everything went great ... only problem is i can't uses dvd2xbox or complex tools ... they are on the list of apps but i can't go up and select them .. i ftp'd to it and the files are on the drive ...
anyone ???
btw - i read your pdf and went about it step by step ... it was a great help !!!
i have a version 1.4 box , x-ecuter 2.6 chip , installed a maxtor 40gb drive, i am not sure on the bios that was flashed to the chip.. me and a buddy did it when i first got the chip
any help here is greatly appreciated ...
