A friend recently added the UnleashX softmod to my XBox and, unfortunately, I have no clue how it really works except for accessing the MAME games I have on there now. I recently purchased a memory card and my XBox can't see it. The steps to use it on the XBox website I can't use because I cannot get to the dashboard. So is there a way to make the XBox recognize my card via the UnleashX?

Welcome to the HQ man, we hope you enjoy the site.
You could try opening your file manager and in the root C drive select to launch the MSdashes default .xbe.
That should launch you MSdash so you can format the card.

Unfortunately doing this gives me an Error 21 message that tells me Service requested. Call Customer Support and the light blinks red and green.

In this case i wold say download AID 4.10 burn the iso file to disk and use it to install a new MSdash and make a backup of the msdash and eeprom, from there use the aid disc to install a new soft mod.

In other words, the person who installed my softmod screwed it up and this will, more or less, uninstall and re-install everything. If I locate someone with a working XBox in my area, can I use their XBox to get my memory card working & formatted? Or will it still not work on my system since there's something I'd have to do to my system to make it seen?

Yeah man if you put it in any stock xbox it will format it to fatx and work on your xbox.

Thanks. I'm very new to all this and have never messed around with my XBox before with MODs or emulators. It's a used system I bought off e-Bay about 5 months ago and just now getting into all the other aspects of it besides just the games on disc.
