I've been wondering this for a while: is it possible to make a dump out of my own cart without buying a chip reader, and without ripping my cart apart. Isn't there a device that has a USB port on one end and lets say for example a N64 connector on the other end? Then you would plug your cart into the N64 connector side, and use a program on your computer to make a dump of your cart without destroying the cart?
This would really help because ive got a few N64 games and a few gameboy games that i need roms of and i can't get them because im not allowed to use torrents anymore. If i could get something like this i could make dumps of all my carts and id be set.
If this breaks any rules please go ahead and lock the topic, but i didn' think it would break the rules. _________________

But oh well.

Could just buy an N64 for much less than that, lol.
I'm all for emulators etc, but when the actual console itself costs about ten times less, I'd sooner just get that

I know, its crazy how much they want for one of those!
I'm just looking for a cheap $30 device that dumps the cart, that is all i want lol. I don't need a cd-rom drive so i can play the back-up games on my n64 with a cd-r _________________

Ya i did back in july. I was downloading the new super mario bros game for DS instead of the old mario bros for NES. I didn't know that i was at the time because the torrent only said super mario bros. I then went on vaction to mount rushmore with my grandparents and left bittorrent on to download the roms. When i got back i had an e-mail in my inbox from comcast (my isp) that said i was infriging on copyright law because of the rom. It said in the e-mail that it was a warning and that i was not allowed to use torrent programs anymore, or my internet could be suspended or banned for life (meaning i can never get an ip adress under my name). _________________
