I transferred a karaoke CD+G one time... took me a while to figure out what to do, but in the end I THINK I used AudioGrabber (free software I think). I don't think it required a plugin either, but it is possible. I would look for AudioGrabber then look for instructions on the web on using it to go from CD+G to MP3 and CDG files. I am pretty sure that there are some menu options for this.
It worked, I just can't remember exactly how I did it. I already had a load of MP3/CDG files on hand that were premade for me... the Karaoke feature is fantastic (much better than using that clunky music mixer that M$ release a couple years ago... I have that as well and paid $1.99 for songs...
The only bad part about the Karaoke is that if you try to use the voice masking, it adds a serious delay. It makes it kinda funny, though...it also adds a layer of skill so you anticipate how early you have to sing for the think to work.
