I see everything, but the 166 on there. I see all the talk about the 133 speeding things up, but I talked to you Wes a while back about getting the 166 for faster N64 game speeds as well as the normal game loading. _________________

No man the 133 will do the trick but it wont help all that much and your not going to see any diff with the n64.
At least not a diff worth noteing.

I gotcha. I got a little confused as to why you posted about the proven 25% load speed increase and then told me I won't see a diff at all. That's what I wanted, was to increase the load speed, not the performance. I realize the only fix for now is the four chip 64mb Ram upgrade. _________________

Amen Brotha. I never once even considered performing that kind of mod to my XBOX. That would be like 1500 solder points. Maybe less or possibly more. _________________

I've noticed big difference on things that go from dvd drive to the hard drive (dvd2xbox) because both support ata 100 at least, but no difference in load times _________________

The main thing i saw was when i select programs on xbmc main dash it fires right up and i dont see the loading screen or the screen that shows a list of your games real fast.
But it might work a little better on some xboxs then others, who knows. LOL

In theory, a new and faster IDe cable will speed up all access times to the drive, regardless as to what it is youre accessing. Althiough these improvements in speed may only be slight in places, it should affect the speed "across the board".
If you think about it, there would be no reason why some problems would benefit from a speed increase while others do not. Some load times may be set by the application itself though, which is why some programs to not appear to load quicker.
i have had some problems with some games, for some reason gta vice city is nearly unplayable, i have quite a lot of games as i test them for problems i will contribute my info,
