Well...your problem is your computer doesnt meet with the minimal system requirements for it to play. _________________

Like rob said, bioshock is a very demanding game, and if you dont have a top notch pc you wont get it to run. _________________

It ran on mine with no probs at all, even had all the settings cranked up a bit for extra wow factor. But, then again, thats why my PC is worth more than everything else in my house put together, lol.

lol, maybe a bit too much! It was just kinda one of those things. It was my job, my hobby, it just kinda followed that my PC would be a bit of a beast, lol
BioShock Will run fine on Shader 2.0 and 2.0b Vid Cards Just Fine, with a little Tweaking.
It ran fine on full settings(Less Directx 10 mOdels of Course) on my pentium D 820 1 gig Ram, and An ATI x700pro. I've Recently Upgraded to an ATI HD 2600Pro, which I have to Say makes the Game look Stunning With Directx 10!

The GeForce 5 series were a good solid range of cards, never had any probs with any of them. Before I upgraded I had a GeForce FX 5200, so I know how you feel Darth. The card you have is still a decent card, it's just a little old these days, what with the series 6,7 and 8 cards now available from Nvidia.
You should get yourself a nice 7200 or 7600, great spec, decent price mid range graphics card. Should serve most of your needs. My mate has a 7600GT and he can run FEAR at 1280x1024 with all the graphics settings on full with no problem at all. He even sent me a pic to prove it, so I've attached it for you.
