Well i was playing my xbox ealier tonight and it froze. I turned it back on and the screen goes blue and stops after a little bit. I then let it sit there for 2 hours and try it again, loads a game again, i go get a drink and some chips, come back and its a black screen. I turn it off and turn it back on and bam, Red lights of doom.
I think this will work because sometimes it will start up again, and others it has 3 rings. So im almost positive that its the solder is lose.
If you receive graphical errors or crashes then the "Hot Air Gun Trick" is needed instead of the "Baking Trick". Because the Temperature is higher and the solder balls will bake much better then.

No man i get it , just the idea of heating up something thats been over heated is insain. LOL
But like i said man i hope it works out for you seeing as how good ol bill gates is putting it in every ones @$$ with this damn xbox 360.
The thing that sux the most is its like the guys that do get a bad one just keep getting bad ones.

Dont know whare your at man but im on there playing call of duty 3 damn near every day at like 3:00 pm to 5:00pm or so, cant really do teams unless the games set that way.
If you got the game jump in man, my tags wes213 (like i wold use anything but) I try for the USA side when i get to pick since thay got the 5 round bolt action and the browning auto.

send it in say you open it thinking the warrant had run out that if its 12mounth old if Aust or 3 mounths USA i sent my sons in (was not open but seal was removed they still fix it sent my 360 off to day after 3 phone calls to 360 support

my buddy was in the same boat man, he opened his 360 to change the color of the ring lights from green to blue and it worked fine....4 months later, gets the red ring of death.....get this...i took it to wal mart for him, with no reciept. told the lady at the returns desk that the eject button wasnt working right and that the disk tray kept getting stuck. the lady took the 360 out of the box, glanced at it to see that there was no apparent physical damage. she put it back in the box and told me that since i didnt have my receipt that i couldnt get my money back but i could exchange it. so i said that was i what i wanted anyway. she sent me to the electronics dept to pick out a new one and BAM...in less than 15 min my friend had a new 360....wish i woulda known that worked before i sent mine back to MS haha....make sure its a super center tho b/c the small ones tend to get pissy about bringing stuff back like that....it should work tho man....im 90% sure that it will...just be smooth about it _________________

I was playing crackdown when it happened, then i switched to gears then it went red ring.
Wes, only games i have for x-link is halo 1, halo 2, rainbow six 3, and star wars battlefront.
Ill try to get a new box if the x-clamp fix doesn't work. _________________
