flash the chip with x2 5035
x2 5035 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
rebuild hard drive with ms dash on C:/
dont,t use evox as dash old as the hills use XBMC
now place x2 config file to E:/ place evox.xbe to the top and E:/
eg
E:/evoxdash.xbe
C:/avalanch.xbe
C:/xxxx.xbe
yes its evox for xbmc as thats what AID4 names the xbe file
now reboot xbox
sorry about that, didn't know the external panel is specific for 1 type of modchip,
what do you mean? what do these banks mean?
so you can flash 2 different bioses to those 2 banks?
I've flashed it with 256kb 4983.06 bios (don't remember which bank...),
and when I switch banks nothing different can be seen?!
so I flash bank one with 256kb 4983.06 bios, then I shut down, set it to bank 2 and flash it with 512kb 5035 bios (old version for xbox v1.1),
the xbins version of bios 5035 contains a x2config.ini that should be used,
so I can flash it with AID, then ftp the config file to root of C drive, correct? (I haven't made a x2config.ini for what I'm running now, just did the One-Click install EvoX dash, and that runs fine?!)

Yeah man you got it right the bank one can run one bios and bank 2 can run a diff bios.
So you can put 5035 on one bank and down lode the x-2 config from x-bins and put that on your pc to build the settings you want it to run.
Like you said it works so you dont need to do this its just a nice option.
I've tried it, flashed 256kb 4983.06 with bank set to 1,
then I flashed bank 2 with 5035,
but changing the bank switch doesn't change anything, stays on 5035,
BIOS checker says everything (512kb bioses and 256) is 5035 ?!
But 5035 is newer and a bigger bios, so I'll leave it at this,
are there any other interesting bioses? what are the EvoX bioses like (or are those not for X2 ?)
thanks again,
take care!

Man when you have the 5035 thats top shelf no need for any others.
placed 120Gb hdd in it ( & UDMA-6 cable), meanwhile at it blowed out the dust, ouch ouch, not healthy, lol
no more beeping when I shut-down through menu of XBMC, strange things, another case for the X-Files (sure miss that on TV, they should play that again )
another Xbox risen to a higher purpose
kidding

Good deal man sounds like all is well in the land of milk and honey, I have never heard that blowing out the dust was bad or did you mean the dust build up is bad?
this Xbox not so much dust (it's one from 2003, had less dus than mine from 2004), I just meant when you blow the dust out, you best not inhale in proximity right away
one more question though:
I've edited the evox.ini :
ChameleonLed = 255
by hexediting the bios, so it boots from different drive,
or by using quickluanch (they probably mean quicklaunch?),
haven't found that program yet though...
but if I use BIOS checker, I see version 5035 for all BIOSES,
so I don't seem to get 2 different BIOSES for bank 1 and 2,
so I'm not going to put anymore time in that...
