Well, pretty much self explantetory, I'm wondering which partition/root folder on the xbox HDD the Evox files are supposed to be transerred to as I'm going to do it manually by unlocking my upgraded harddrive and loading the files myself.

I have the most recent build (3935) which has the files:

evoxdash.xbe
evox.ini
/bios (folder)
/skins (folder)
/trainers (folder)

Just drop it in the Cdrive and make sure the default xbe is renamed evoxdash.xbe, and it should be good to go man. Very Happy

Well, actually, what I am doing is replacing my stock HDD with a larger one, and since I have to format the new HDD to be xbox compatible, I thought I would just load the files since I already have the new HDD out of the xbox and ready to unlock. So even though I'm not adding a chip, I don't think its a softmod anymore since I'm "cracking open" my box.

And thank you so much for the info wes, you're a reall life-saver. But When I copy the files to c:/ (note that this HDD is basically blank) do I rename evoxdash.xbe to default.xbe or just leave it as it is?

PS

But I do have just one more question and it kind of fits here so I don't want to make a new thread.

Does the newest version of Evox allow you to backup the "eeprom.bin" file to your HDD, since I need that file to properly format my new HDD to be Xbox compatible.

EDIT:

Also, in which directory would I put my apps in? Would it be "E:/" or "F:/"?

For example, if I want to put DVD2Xbox or XMBC or the DVD launcher on my HDD so that Evox can launch them.

Well first up hand bbuilding the hdd is not the best way to go but if that what you want have at it.
Now since you building the hdd your self i was guessing you was putting a chip in.
So dath is right here you want the dash in the E drive and the apps can go in E or F, i use F since it will get the biggest chunk of your hdd space.
If the dash you have has the evoxdash.xbe file leve it there is no need to rename it.
So one tell me if im wrong here but yes i think that dash has the eeprom back up maker in it.

I have an apps folder in my E:\, F:\ and G:\ partions. You just have to rewrite the .ini file so that the paths will look for the apps there.
