hi bros,
I did a big mistake... I tried to flash a new xecuter2.6 for a freind with a old bios (4977) which i used years ago for my X2.1 ;(( I had it allready on CD!!
NOW X2.6 doesn´t start!!! At the moment i have no Programmer!
I have read a lot of tutorials and tips but nothing worked!
So i wanted to HOTSWAP the new X2.6 into my XBOX with X2.1 to get a new working FLASH (5985) but the PinHeaders are different and i couldn´t find out if ALL the cablecolors are the same???
DOES anyone know? ...so maybe i can prepare some cables to HOTSWAP...
Or do you see any other Problems comming on me
Does anyone have a easier idea without to order a Programmer?

Switch the 2.1 to bank 2 flash it with the right bios once its up and running you can reflash bank one with a boot disk.

yes the x 2.1 has a switch for bank 1 and 2... x2.1 works fine but i don´t know how i have to connect the x2.6 as it has different cable´s ...to hotswap and flash!
so
+x2.1 is the one which works!!
+x2.6 frag´s!!! needs to be flashed!
I need to know if I can hotswap x2.1 with x2.6 to flash it!
As the pinheader seem to be different i like to know which function
each cable has... Do you know a pin-plan??

Why not just flash bank 2 on the 2.6?

cause on both banks is no flashbios on anymore!!.... I think on both banks is the corrupt 4977 bios ;( when i try to boot it shutsdown 3x an than just FRAG!!
Is there a way to bypass the active bios....to boot from CD eg. FlashBios 303

You need a programer man i dont think you can put the 2.6 on a 2.1 header.

Sorry man, but if you can get your hands on an xbox setup for that chip it can be reflashed with the right app.

Do you know spiderchip USB programmer? is that programmer worth its money?? or do you believe to Xecuter programmer????

Never used any spider chips or programmers i wold stick with the X programmer.
Get what you pay for.

I got it!!
I simply rebuilt my workiing XB v1.1 and installed the X2.6 with the old 4977Bios on it ....XB started well in EVOX....so i falshed it again with new 5035 bios...then installed my old X2.1 again and installed the X2.6 in the new box...ready ;D THX a lot for your time and help....
