well if it gonna be used on xbmc, usually it will read it right out the box, if not format it on the pc, as fat. also please know that xbmc currently cant write to the drives, there only read only. for now!! _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

am iright in thinking i can put a lod of avi/divx files on a 1gb flash drive and xbmc will play it?
also, is there progress being made in being able to plug in an external desktop drive of large capacity via usb and playing the media from there?

The problem with that is that the transfer times would be slower then if it was an internal hdd. _________________

I guess it for me it would only need to be fast enough to stream Divx, as i wouldnt be doing any transfers, just watching straight from the drive
