When you upgrade the HDD on a softmodded box, do you have partition options? Or are you stuck with E F G etc?

What do you mean are you stuck with E F and G? The only amount of partions you can have on any HDD is C E F and G.

drives C and E are fixed by the kernel. You can however elect to use all remaining disc space for F or have an F partition of 137GB and the remaining on G

Ive never made a new HDD with xboxhdm or chimp, since i always have a chip. Im pretty sure in xboxhdm it asks you if you want a F:\ drive up to 137 gig. Then after that you will need to get AID 4.01 and partion only the G:\ drive. It will put the rest to G:\ then.

You dont even need to do that. All you gotta do is enable f when you make the drive with xboxhdm. Then, when you get it back in your box, you can use unleashx to enable g and then format it. After that everything will show up for you.
