That would be my guess. Anytime I've ever had problems ftping something that was the reason. _________________

Mine always did that when the name was too long, so try fixing that first. _________________

try changing the filename, make it shorter
i managed to transfer another episode from that series with a longer filename but otherwise identical format Maybe its something in the filename?
But isnt there a way of getting around this filename problem as i have a hell of a lot of ready-named files to transfer over that i'd rather not change

Direct connection through crossover cable, port 21 on the FTP app. Do you think there might be another setting in the connection to change?

the FATx file system is not very good at handling long filenames (same as FAT). Remove any odd characters, etc from the filename and keep them as short as possible

Honestly, Flash FXP is by far my favorite ftp program to use. I had it for the 30 day trial on my old computer and when it expired I went to smart ftp. I really dont like smart ftp, and right now I'm using flash fxp on my new computer. Im really considering buying a code for it. I may be cheap but in the end its definatly worth it. If you browse through the downloads section, theres a program that will rename files so they'll work with fatx. _________________
