the tut that is here is way to confusing, to some extent. i have been up all night pulling my hair out to find a different and better way. i just need some user exp and comments if you guys dont mind. just simply how you do it.

You can just cut the dvd on your pc convert it to AVI and ftp it to your xbox thats what i do and seems to work the best.
Or using xbmc to play dvds you rip into .iso files on your PC. you use dvdshrink to rip into the isos. then play them from your pc hdd useing xbmc smb share. this works great for most movies. however, i've had a couple that wouldn't play.

i actually found #1 dvd ripper and that seemed to work just fine and rips them into about 750mb avi files so im very happy with this.
