I recommend only using the Single Boot Softmod with NO virtual C. I'm pretty sure this option will work unlike a few others which are bugged.

you need your box to be softmodded in order to use the aid disc. once that is done you can proceed to use the softmod one-click option.

just remember only to use the single boot with no virtual c for now, it seems to be one of the only ones that actually work.

Hey DJB I kinda went over and tried to install sid 5 one last time with the virtual C+ eeprom on single boot. I noticed that on sid 4.5 after you restarted it finished the softmod installation. It did not do this with sid 5.0, instead I got an error 21 (which I fixed with AId 4.0). So I went and browsed around the gamesave folder, I found a file named install.xbe, and launched it. This file finished the softmod process, however it copied the stock msdash files to the unmounted c drvie. My gues is that the C drive was never mounted in the first place. So when I restarted my xbox it restarted straight to an unmodded xbox. I think the problem is that it is not finishing the softmod installation properly. Hope this helps. Oh and it does the same thing with the AID 4.0 one click install system.

EDIT: DJB I think I figured out your problem it looks like an error in the script, however I have changed it now and will post back with the results asap.

EDIT: Nvm, but I do think it is the fact that the install.xbe file is not launching on reboot. I think that is what you need to check. Also on sid 4.5 it created a file on the E drive named sid4hd.bin which is what I am guessing is the mountable C drive. ANyways, hope this helped.

Yes there's massive problems with SID 5, the only one that will work on both AID 4 and SID 5 is the Singleboot with no Virtual C.

After installing C/Trainers from the AID 4.0 addon pack, I had the same boot troubles as everyone else with Evo x. I trouble shot by removing different trainer files out of C/Trainers one at a time. After I removed the two trainers named (Indiana Jones TET p8 pal.etm) and (ConkerLiveandReloaded.ETM), Evolution X would boot and run normal and all trainers were recognized. I also went ahead and removed the two corrupt files from Xored Trainer Launcher, and from XBOX Media center Trainers file. My Xecuter 3 X-Box now works great.

A few people are reporting a rebooting problem taking place when EvoX is installed as the dashboard. They say it has something to do with the naming of the Trainers folder, and if that folder is renamed to something else, EvoX loads without any probs.

May be worth a quick check mate.

K I'll take a look.

For everyone having trouble with evolution x as dash board read the rest of this quote. After installing C/Trainers from the AID 4.0 addon pack, I had the same boot troubles as everyone else. I also went ahead and removed the two corrupt files from Xored Trainer Launcher, and from XBOX Media center Trainers file (thus Xored no longer froze up with the two corrupt trainers removed). My Xecuter 3 X-Box now works great. NOTE: I had to use File Manager from aid 4 disk to access the trainer files, after Evo X was installed as dashboard.

Here is a bug, i have a wifi ethernet bridge, and network connectivity works, but every time i shut off the xbox, i have to to power cycle the ethernet bridge for the network to function, otherwise there is no connectivity. I am downloading SID 5.. i'll try this again and see if it will work Smile

It gets annoying because i have it as a media server for photos, and a video library of over 300 vids and my family has problems trying to use it Smile

The AID 4.02 includes a new Addon pack for trainers, so this issue is fixed.
